C-nox provides services for the environmentally sound decontamination of process engineering systems and associated storage facilities. The equipment used serves for the safe collection and treatment of gaseous residues and corresponds to the state of the art in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). C-nox uses Vapour Combustion Units (VCU) for the harmless disposal of hydrocarbons. The systems are designed for operation under air and inert gas atmospheres and are suitable for processing explosive atmospheres of Zone 0. The systems feature full ATEX system approval (“ATEX hot”) according to Directive 2014/34/EU as well as tested safety devices. The design of the gas extraction and combustion systems excludes pressurized operation of temporary pipelines. Generously dimensioned extraction lines (up to DN 300) and redundant combustion trains ensure safe and stable operation. The 2 × 2.5 MW combustion chamber system is designed for an extended control range in lean gas operation and enables a reduction in support gas consumption. The combustion of the accumulating gas load is carried out according to the requirements of the TA Luft. A destruction rate of ≥ 99.9% is maintained. The setup, commissioning, and operation of the systems are carried out according to tested and certified safety concepts; approval is granted on-site for each deployment by an authorized inspection body. The specialized personnel employed are qualified according to the relevant occupational safety and security regulations (e.g., a. G 26.3, SCC). Activities in contaminated and potentially explosive areas are carried out in compliance with regulations and are documented.
